From a couple of days ago:
Happy Birthday Darlene and Jon. Here’s a wonderful picture of cowboy Roggie (dad) and his uncle Bill in Texas. Nothing says happy birthday like a baby cow.
-
I assume this is dads grandma Mary Clay Morris from Texas. I’m not sure who aunt Nammie (?) is though. Also I’m not sure who is who in the picture…
It is Mamie Mae born in 1897 and was a step daughter to Mary Clay. Addie A, Mamie’s mother, passed away in 1901 the year after the 1900 census record above. Note Mary Clay born sept 20 1884 is only 13 years older then Mamie

Arne fishing maybe in a boat. Not sure who Erik is but I think it might be in Michigan City.
-
I’m terrible at identifying people so I’m not sure who is in this picture and the back is unlabeled and undated. I like the shoes and stripped socks though.
-
Here’s a beach picture for the end of summer.
-
Here’s a page from a monthly pamphlet called My Book House. Each month there was a 4 page spread included of pictures sent in. Notice the lower left picture.
-
Happy Memorial Day weekend! Wait… Everybody mixes them up anyway.
Have a great Labor Day!

Happy Friday. Here’s another picture of Arne and Tippie

Here’s a great picture of Grandpa Morriss in front of the Homestead Restaurant that he was the cook for.
-
Here’s a nice picture/postcard of dad and Arne. August 25, 1953. I have no idea what kind of car that is.
-
Yee-Haw!
-
Wiener roast with the Wieners!
-
With all the heat lately a nice trip to the dunes/beach would be nice. Labeled Arnold, Roger, and Bev on the Sand Dunes, Aug 29 1949. I guess I should have waited two more days.
-
This picture raise a couple of questions. It’s labeled Arnold and Roger in Dallas 1949. I assume this is a relative stoop but I don’t know who.
-
Here’s another slide labeled Prince and Rog 57(?). I did like those chairs.
-
Here’s a couple of slides from Sept 16, 1962 labeled Schmids & Morrisses
-
A cute picture of Roger, July 1943.
